2011 “Major Appliance Industry Trends and Facts” Report Now Available April 1, 2011

The Canadian Appliance Manufacturers Association (CAMA), an Electro-Federation Canada (EFC) council, announces the release of its annual Major Appliance Industry Trends and Facts Report. Central to this 40-page report, is data on historical unit sales, provincial sales, feature trends, and seasonality charts for seven major appliance categories: refrigerators, freezers, ranges, dishwashers, microwave ovens, laundry products, and air conditioners. BC Ministry of Environment Approves Portable and Floor Care Appliance Stewardship Plan July 14, 2010

This annual publication has been providing industry insiders, suppliers, and researchers with information related to the economy, housing, consumer spending, appliance saturation levels, regional highlights, seasonality, energy efficiency, and imports for over 30 years. 2010 Industry Recognition Award Recipients Announced March 20, 2010

Electro-Federation Canada’s Industry Recognition Awards Committee is pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s Industry Recognition Award (IRA). This year, two deserving candidates were awarded: Mr. Richard (Dick) Waterman for his contribution to the Canadian Electrical Industry and Mr. Pat Costello for his contribution to the Canadian Consumer Electronics and Appliance Industries. EFC Integral to the Success of the Buy American Outcome February 10, 2010

Electro-Federation Canada took the lead in pushing for an amendment to the Buy American clause U.S. President Barack Obama brought into law on February 17, 2009 as part of the $787 billion stimulus package. EFC and its members joined together in a manufacturing coalition spearheaded by The Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME) and co-signed a brief requested by the Prime Minister back in May of 2009 as part of the negotiation process.
