CEMRA – Canadian Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association

cemraThe Canadian Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association (CEMRA), a division of the Electrical Council, is a trade association of independent sales representatives that offer multi-line selling to electrical manufacturers. CEMRA combines premier sales and marketing agencies in the electrical industry with top manufacturers—creating some very powerful connections.

JS BercierJean-Sébastien Bercier, Desdowd Inc., Chair, CEMRA
CEMRA has been part of the Electrical Council (and its predecessor the Supply & Distribution Council) for over 15 years. During this time, reps have demonstrated high value to the association and to the industry as a whole. We have made strides in key areas that have led to the continued success of our manufacturer-representative sales model. I encourage you to explore some of the many initiatives on this Webpage. Moving forward, I look forward to embarking on new opportunities to further grow the value of CEMRA membership—and to strengthen the role of reps in the electrical industry.

Brandon OukesCEMRA, The Electrical Council and Electro-Federation Canada are pleased to announce Brandon Oukes, a 3rd year Electrical Engineering Technologist student at Georgian College, as the recipient of this year’s CEMRA Academic Leadership Award. An electricity unit in a high school physics class first sparked Brandon’s interest, and he now enjoys creating small electrical devices using PLCs with a combination of lights, sensors and motors. Brandon has a keen interest in the flow of electricity from point of generation to end user.

Brandon recently gained valuable work experience as a substation maintenance co-op student at Powerstream. He also learned a great deal about community service as a volunteer, cleaning up after this past winter’s ice storm in Ontario. We wish Brandon continued success in his studies and look forward to his future contributions to the electrical industry.
