To provide a forum for leadership to ensure the future health of the imaging trade by fostering the highest quality of standards, ethics and practices.
The Canadian Imaging Trade Association (CITA) was formed in 1955 as a non-profit organization representing the manufacturers, distributors and importers of photo and imaging products. A forum for members to meet, discuss and liaise with each other, CITA encourages peer-based collaboration to drive and support industry growth.
One of the cornerstones of CITA is the statistics program which collects, analyses and reports data on leading Imaging categories such as Point & Shoot, SLR and Compact System cameras, as well as Binoculars. This program allows each of the member companies to baseline, track and project industry stats for their respective categories while providing valuable insight for future development. The CITA program is also administered by the Electro-Federation Canada statistical department.
Representing over $1 billion in sales, CITA plays an integral role in both the marketplace and regulatory affairs.
