DESCRIPTION:Join us for EFC's Atlantic Region first ever Environment and Su
 stainability Panel event on October 9\, 2024 in Dartmouth\, NS.\n\nEFC Pre
 sident and CEO Carol McGlogan will be joined by industry experts Mark MacD
 onald with Catalyst Sales &amp\; Marketing\, and Temi Udo-Affia with the N
 ova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and Renewables as they discuss 
 electrification\, energy efficiency\, and grid decarbonization and how thi
 s will open up opportunities for EFC members to contribute to Canada’s n
 et-zero commitment.  The event will be moderated by Dale Nicholson\, Rex
 el Atlantic. A question and answer session and discussion will follow.\n R
 egister now \nPanelists\nCarol McGlogan\, EFC President and CEO\n\nCarol M
 cGlogan is a distinguished leader in the electrical industry\, currently s
 erving as the President and CEO of Electro-Federation Canada (EFC). With a
  career spanning over two decades\, Carol has been a driving force in prom
 oting innovation\, sustainability\, and growth within the sector. Since ta
 king the helm at EFC in 2017\, Carol has been instrumental in advancing th
 e organization’s mission to represent and support the electrical industr
 y in Canada. Her strategic vision and leadership have led to the successfu
 l implementation of key initiatives\, including the Greener Electrified Ca
 nada efforts\, which aim to promote sustainable practices and technologies
  across the industry. Mark MacDonald\, LC\, CET\, Principal\, Business De
 velopment - Nova Scotia\, Catalyst Sales &amp\; Marketing An agency princ
 ipal since 2007\, Mark’s focus is on understanding and building strong r
 elationships in the market\, ensuring high-quality standards are met both 
 from the Catalyst team and the products they represent\, and leading futur
 e growth by keeping a pulse on the latest technology and developments. Mar
 k started his career with Nortel Networks in Toronto before following his 
 entrepreneurial spirit back to Atlantic Canada. He holds designations as a
  certified electronics engineering technologist (CET) and a Lighting Consu
 ltant (LC). He is a member of\, and currently sits on the board for\, the 
 Atlantic Canadian chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization\, serving 
 as the Strategic Alliance Partnership champion. He also serves as a sustai
 nable energy advisor on the community council for VIDA living\, a real es
 tate development company raising the standard of affordable rentals in Nor
 th America.Temi Udo-Affia\, Manager of Clean Electricity\, Nova Scotia Dep
 artment of Natural Resources and Renewables\n\nTemi Udo-Affia is the Manag
 er of Clean Electricity at the Department of Natural Resources and Renewab
 les. She designs and implements policies and programs to transition Nova S
 cotia’s energy system away from coal while maintaining electricity relia
 bility and affordability. Temi has over 10 years of advisory and strategy 
 experience in the power sector.  In previous roles\, she supported govern
 ments globally in designing and incorporating best practices across their 
 policies and regulations\, market incentives\, and renewable energy progra
 ms to accelerate their energy and power sector transformations. Temi has 
 an MSc in Natural Resource Economics from Cranfield University. In additio
 n\, she is a Certified Renewable Energy Professional (REP) through the Ass
 ociation of Energy Engineers and a Certified Expert in Climate and Renewab
 le Energy Finance through the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.\

 ication\, energy efficiency\, and grid decarbonization and how this will o
 pen opportunities for EFC members to contribute to Canada’s net-zero co
 mmitment.\n\nMark MacDonald\, Catalyst Sales &amp\; Marketing\n\nMark will
  present on business opportunities related to Electric Vehicles and electr
 ification and charging in general.\n\nTemi Udo-Affia\, Nova Scotia Departm
 ent of Natural Resources and Renewables\n\nTemi will present on Nova Scoti
 a's Clean Power Plan and how load management fits into the overall plan.\n
