Industry Conference CANCELLED
FAIRMONT BANFF SPRINGS, BANFF, AB
As we continue to respond to the changing status with the COVID-19 outbreak, EFC is taking preventative measures to protect conference delegates from any further risks associated with this virus. After much consideration and consultation, the EFC Board has decided to cancel EFC’s Industry Conference in Banff which was rescheduled from late May to September 1 – 3, 2020. This decision was difficult but necessary for the safety of our members, employees, and the community.
One of EFC’s key mandates, is to deliver a premier national thought-leadership conference for industry members, partners, and affiliates. The conference has also been a time where the annual Industry Research report is presented and members are recognized through the Industry Awards Program for their dynamic contributions in powering a changing world. These initiatives will continue to be presented in Fall of 2020 through a virtual format. We look forward to sharing more information with you in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!

Moving the Electrical Industry Forward With the Emerging Changes in e-Commerce, Technology & Talent
2020 ELECTRO-FEDERATION CONFERENCE
A Leadership Conference for the Electrical Industry to Focus on the Top Three Game-Changers
Like no other decade before us, we stand on the cutting-edge of a futuristic evolution. This September, EFC’s Conference will bring together industry leaders for a stimulating overview of the Canadian Electrical community’s role to ‘e-VOLVE’ in powering our changing world.
The conference showcases the latest thought leadership centered around emerging technologies, talent and e-commerce; these changing channels require us to think beyond our singular partnerships. It is imperative that we hone in on e-commerce strategies and swiftly embrace electronic technology to move our industry forward in aligning products, processes and services. To address these two fronts, we need to have a strategy on e-talent, talent that will help the industry evolve.
The ‘e-VOLVE’ conference presents a wide array of game-changing insight and emerging opportunities. Andrew Au will connect us with navigating digital transformation for the e-commerce supply chain. Swati Patel will present EFC’s 2020 Talent in an Emerging Workforce research paper to address the future of our industry. Special guest speaker, Hadiya Roderique, shares her path to inclusive leadership and from The Debaters, Steve Patterson will host the Awards Gala.
The conference kickoff reception, two-day Electro-Lounge & Head Office meetings, the closing Awards Gala and CEMRA night, there will be several opportunities to network with fellow attendees and get exposed to evolutionary mindsets.
I look forward to seeing you in the beautifully elevated town of Banff!
Pierre Legare, Chair, National Advisory Council,
The Hon. Preston Manning
