Ontario Region Marks 18th Edition at Nobleton Lakes Golf Club

On June 17th, the Ontario Region hosted its 18th annual golf tournament at Nobleton Lakes Golf Club with 212 golfers — one foursome short of a sold out tournament.

EFC members travelled from across the province to attend this always-popular tournament with industry colleagues. The tournament featured manicured fairways, a new location for the halfway house barbecue lunch, and a fairly quick pace of play, along with ample networking opportunities with industry peers.

Ontario Region Chair, Dave Keegan, Hubbell, was pleased to see the second-largest golf tournament turnout and noted the fantastic weather that made for an amazing day on the green for members.

The YPN Ontario group sponsored a putting contest, ‘Shoot for the Loot,’ and also recognized the ‘Most Honest Foursome’ with a team prize.

The tournament also included the annual Ontario Cup Challenge between the Ontario Region Committee and the YPN Ontario Committee.

The tournament is in its 13th year, and this year, Team Ontario Won the cup by one stroke. The Ontario Region Committee team, has now won 10 rounds and YPN, three.

Last year, Team YPN Ontario won the cup by 1 stroke as well. Both these teams enjoyed a little friendly competition and camaraderie.
