Take part in EFC’s Day of Giving to support families in our local communities
On October 4th, World Habitat Day, Electro-Federation Canada members and their business partners are uniting for the EFC Day of Giving in support of Habitat for Humanity Canada. Together, we are hoping to raise $100,000 to help families build strength, stability, and independence through affordable homeownership.
Now more than ever, families across Canada need your help. The COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately impacted families living with low income. Coping with the loss of employment or reduced income, these families are having to make the difficult decision to pay for rent or to pay for other essentials such as food and medicine. These are decisions that no parent should ever have to make.
In this time of great need, your donation will help to open the door to a brighter future for families across Canada, families like Fiona’s, to whom your support will make a world of difference.

On behalf of Habitat for Humanity Canada and Habitat homeowners thank you to the following EFC members for your generous support.
EFC has partnered with Habitat Canada as its Charity of Choice
Like Habitat Canada, EFC strongly believes that everyone deserves a safe and affordable place to call home. Habitat Canada knows affordable homeownership empowers Canadian families with a sense of pride and independence. A number of EFC members are strong supporters of Habitat Canada. Many member companies not only contribute financially but also provide product and volunteer support to Habitat affiliates across Canada. View the 2020 Habitat Impact Report here.
There’s never been a better time to support this important cause. You can lend your support in three ways: Financial, Product Contribution for Home Builds or Product Contribution for ReStore.
1. Product Donations
Donate gift-in-kind products that will go directly into our Habitat homes. Electrical products are in high demand and are a large expense for local Habitats. Electrical products such as load centres, circuit breakers, and wiring are a large expense for local Habitats. Download and complete this pledge form and return it to EFC (c/o John Jefkins) to email@example.com Find out what types of electrical products are most in need – view the Product List
2. Cash Donations
Your team can have their own Habitat Build Day or you can pool funds with other EFC members in your area and participate together. See below for more details on EFC’s Team Building Opportunity with Habitat.
3. ReStore Donations
Discontinued product or product not required for building a home can go to ReStores. All proceeds go back to the local Habitat and help build more homes.
A note about product donations: Habitat’s Restores are always in need of quality products and will accept donations of overstocked or discontinued items. Individual and corporate donations to the 100+ ReStore locations across Canada help divert more than 36,000 tons of material from landfills and fund Habitat for Humanity housing projects in local communities!
