2022 Scholarship Recipients have been chosen and contacted. If you have already been notified that you have won but have not received the funding, you will be contacted shortly to make final arrangements. Eligibility
All applicants are Canadian citizens or permanent residents who have completed their first year of a recognized university or college in Canada, have maintained a minimum 75% average* and be registered in a full-time 2022 eligible post-secondary degree or diploma program. Students must be enrolled in their program and attending school in Fall 2022/Winter 2023 semesters. Applicants may apply for a total of only three scholarships.
For all scholarships, preference will be given to those applicants with a connection to an EFC member company and who are pursuing post-secondary education in a discipline which targets a career in the Electrical industry, such as Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technologist, Electrical Technician, Industrial Distribution, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Management Operations, Logistics and Information Technology.
*Electro-Federation Canada and its members reserve the right to request verification of any information submitted by an applicant. All selected students will be asked to provide both an official transcript and proof of 2022/2023 full-time school enrollment prior to the scholarship being confirmed and awarded. Selected students will provide permission for promotion of their name and scholarship in media and marketing materials. All decisions are final and not eligible for appeal.

 The Bartle & Gibson Co. Ltd. Scholarship Awards will be for students currently attending a post-secondary institute in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan or North West Territories. Two students will be selected to receive one of two awards of $1750 each. The students will have successfully completed at least their first year of study in electrical or mechanical apprenticeship, electrical or mechanical technician, electrical or mechanical engineering, information technology or a business discipline. The eligible students must have must have demonstrated community service through volunteerism and have achieved a cumulative average of 75%. Bartle & Gibson Co. The scholarship is available to members or relatives of members of Electro-Federation and are attending a college or university in a province in which Graybar Canada operates a branch (excludes Quebec, Manitoba or Saskatchewan). The successful applicant will also have demonstrated a passion for community service with a clear vision towards their future. The winning applicant will also be given consideration for either a permanent or summer employment position with Graybar Canada. Graybar Canada, an employee-owned company, is a wholesale distributor for thousands of items from leading manufacturers of electrical and communications and data products. Graybar Canada operates over 30 locations across the country.  The Leviton Canada Scholarship will honor two applicants in the province of Québec. It will be awarded to a student who has successfully completed at least one year of academic studies at the undergraduate level with a minimum cumulative average of 80%. The candidate must currently be an undergraduate enrolled in the faculty of engineering at either McGill University, École Polytechnique de Montréal, Université de Sherbrooke or Université Laval.

Award will be granted to a student who has successfully completed their second or third year of studies in any Canadian University, College or Trade school studying in a field related to the electrical, mechanical, chemical or materials industries. Priority will be given to either a family member of a current Shawcor employee, a family member of any Shawcor Customer or any EFC member in good standing. The winning candidate may also be considered for future co-op opportunities or permanent employment with Shawcor upon completion of their studies. Shawcor will also consider academic excellence and impactful life experiences outside the classroom that demonstrate leadership, teamwork and determination such as dedication to a particular team/club, entrepreneurial projects, or giving back to the community when selecting the winner.

The Schneider Electric Student Women in STEM Award is granted to a Female University, College or Apprenticeship student. Eligible students must have completed at least their first year of study in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) or an Electrical Apprenticeship program, and maintained a minimum cumulative average of 85%.

 The Techspan Industries Communication Excellence Scholarship will be granted to a student residing in Ontario or British Columbia who has completed their first year of post-secondary education in either a business or general arts program. They will have achieved an average of at least 80%. Preference will be given to applicants that submit a 1 to 2 minute video that clearly and succinctly presents a message concerning either their schooling, the electrical industry, or any passion that moves them as an individual. The video need not be fancy but demonstrate creativity, messaging and persuasiveness. Since 1989, Techspan has been supplying world class connector products to electrical wholesalers across Canada. Techspan has locations in Ontario and British Columbia.

This Scholarship is offered in memory of Brandon Hill-Graham, a talented electrician and project foreman. The scholarship will be awarded to a 3rd or 4th year electrical apprenticeship student currently enrolled in an approved program within Canada.  Preference will be given to students enrolled at SAIT College Calgary.
