EFC 2025 Holiday Reception Highlights
The holiday season is always a special time at Electro Federation Canada. It brings our community together, reconnects industry colleagues, celebrates accomplishments, and serves up well-deserved cheer. This year, members once again gathered at festive receptions in the Quebec, Ontario, and Atlantic regions. Each celebration reflected the spirit of its community, offering memorable moments and meaningful connections. Here is a look back at our 2025 holiday events.
Quebec City Holiday Reception

The celebrations kicked off in Quebec City at the beautiful Manoir Montmorency where close to 60 members started the evening with a glass of wine to enjoy a warm and welcoming evening overlooking one of the region’s most scenic landmarks. The Young Professionals Network added a special touch with a curated selection of Quebec cheeses and charcuterie, encouraging members to mingle while enjoying local flavours.
In the spirit of giving, ten dollars from each registration was donated to Habitat for Humanity, and unused drink tickets could be exchanged to contribute additional donations supporting community housing initiatives. The blend of regional pride, seasonal generosity, and friendly conversation created a memorable start to the holiday season.

Ontario Holiday Reception

More than 300 members gathered on November 27 at Paramount Eventspace in Vaughan for a vibrant evening of networking and holiday celebration. While the event took place in Ontario, it brought together members from across Canada for a memorable night filled with meaningful conversations, festive cheer, and valuable opportunities to connect.
Guests enjoyed an array of culinary highlights including a bustling oyster bar, a fresh sushi station, and multiple gourmet food stations, along with festive beverages that kept the energy high throughout the evening. Specialty lighting and music created a warm and celebratory atmosphere, and a talented young pianist welcomed attendees in the foyer with a selection of classical pieces and holiday favourites.
This season, the Young Professionals Network led the GIVE Food Drive initiative, with the Women’s Network and Ontario Region Committee joining together to support the effort. Their collaboration is helping to make a meaningful difference for the Haven on the Queensway and the individuals and families it serves during this time of giving.

Atlantic Holiday Reception

On December 2, the Atlantic Region’s reception at Casino Nova Scotia in downtown Halifax brought together more than 160 members for an enjoyable evening highlighted with festive cheer and a spirit for giving back during the holiday season. To help those less fortunate, a portion of each EFC general member admission will be donated to Feed Nova Scotia—members also had the opportunity to make an additional donation when they registered.
A key highlight of the event is the annual silent auction, with members contributing a wide array of items such as electronics, small appliances, sporting goods, and more. All proceeds from the auction also support Feed Nova Scotia, reinforcing the region’s strong tradition of community generosity. A special thank you to all members who donated an item to this year’s silent auction, including: ABB, CSA Enterprises, Eaton Electrical, Eddy Group Ltd, Hubbell Canada, IPEX Electrical, Lumen, McLoughlan Supplies, Next Sales & Marketing, Ouellet, Rexel, S&D Lighting, WESCO, and Westlake Pipe and Fittings.
New this year, members captured the moment and made memories at a photo booth by Booth Almighty, leaving with a keepsake to remember the night. The YPN Atlantic Committee also held a special mixology activity prior to the general member reception, enjoying a custom cocktail (Named “The Grinch”) to kick off the festivities.

The Quebec Region continued its celebrations in Montreal at Le Crystal on December 4, where more than 130 members gathered for an evening filled with friendly conversation, festive atmosphere and delicious treats. The Young Professionals Network delighted attendees with fresh cannoli from La Bella Cannoli, adding a sweet highlight to the night.
In the spirit of giving, ten dollars from each registration was donated to Habitat for Humanity, and unused drink tickets could be exchanged to contribute additional donations supporting community housing initiatives. This commitment to giving back, paired with the warm ambiance and lively interactions, made the Montreal reception a wonderful gathering to close the year.
