EFC’s Women’s Network Ontario Region Unveils New Committee
EFC’s Women’s Network Ontario Region is pleased to unveil a new committee to support its numerous initiatives to support women in the electrical industry.
The Women’s Network originated in 2018 to offer a dynamic program specifically tailored to women. Earlier this year, EFC updated its three core pillars to better reflect the mission of the Women’s Network: Career. Community. Connection.
The WN Ontario Region is made up of six committee members representing EFC’s three member categories: manufacturers, distributors and CEMRA reps, along with an executive, of Chair, Vice Chair, and Past Chair, each holding a two-year commitment, and one year Past Chair term. The leadership positions, will be exchanged in February 2026.
The WN Ontario Region has gained much success over the past year, from providing members with leadership strategies, financial planning, mental health and wellness tips, a communication session, and the launch of an Ask me Anything panel with industry leaders on topics like leadership and supporting women in industry. The WN Ontario Region has been engaged with providing those less fortunate in our community with participation in the Purse Project and a clothing donation drive, which have both been well received by EFC members.
Men are also welcome to participate in any of the scheduled events and to show their support.
Sandra Tomassi, Chair of the Women’s Network Ontario Region, is proud of the inclusive, empowering, and forward-thinking community that has been built in the region.
“Our mission has always been to support and elevate women in the electrical industry—but we know that meaningful change happens when everyone is part of the conversation,” she says.
