EFC members are a dynamic community of electrical manufacturers, distributors and manufacturers’ reps who play an integral role in advancing the association’s initiatives—and powering a changing world through product and service innovation.
Annually, EFC recognizes leaders of the member community through its Industry Awards program. The annual awards celebrate members’ commitment to innovation and excellence by presenting special recognition through the awards below.
COMPANY LEADERSHIP AWARDS
EFC Corporate Engagement Excellence Award
This award recognizes a member company in each CEMRA, Manufacturer, Distributor channels that demonstrates leadership in committee and event participation – and supports EFC’s sponsorship programs. The corporate award contenders and the final recipient is selected by the EFC Board of Directors, based on set criteria.

CEMRA EXCELLENCE AWARDS
EFC CEMRA Person of the Year Award
This recognition is given to an EFC member that makes a difference to CEMRA by demonstrating leadership, commitment and outstanding contribution. EFC’s CEMRA Executive review all entries, vote and select the award recipient.
Winner: 2025 Award Recipient: Steve Wheeler, Munden Enterprises
CEMRA Hall of Fame
This award recognizes individuals inducted into the CEMRA Hall of Fame for their exceptional leadership and long-term contributions to the manufacturers’ representative community in Canada. Honorees are selected based on their sustained service to CEMRA, advocacy for the rep business model, and meaningful impact at both the regional and national level. Inductees are approved through a formal selection process based on established criteria.
INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP AWARDS
EFC Industry Recognition Award
This long standing award is presented annually to an individual who has retired or is approaching retirement age and who has demonstrated a lifetime of strong leadership through regional or national involvement in the Canadian electrical industry. The award recognizes individuals whose leadership and service have advanced the industry beyond their employing organization.
Eligible nominees include current or retired industry delegates, individuals who have worked at an EFC member organization, or recognized supporters of the electrical industry. Nominations should emphasize the nominee’s regional or national contributions and overall industry-wide impact. Specific examples of regional or national industry activities and leadership roles that support and justify the nomination need to be included.

EFC Award of Excellence
This recognition is given to a member of EFC, retired or current, who has made an outstanding contribution to the industry in standards & regulations.
Winner: 2024 Award Recipient: Vladimir Gagachev, Eaton
EFC Trailblazer Award
This award honours an individual who has been a significant driver for industry change. The Trailblazer Award recognizes exceptional leaders who have advanced the Canadian electrical industry over the past five years. It is awarded when a candidate’s achievements reflect outstanding leadership and meaningful industry influence. This award is given to someone from an EFC member organization who has been a catalyst for change by bringing new ideas, processes or best practices to the forefront in the industry.

REGIONAL RECOGNITION AWARDS
Quebec Personality of the Year Award
The Quebec region members present the Personality of the Year Award to honour an individual who has been a significant contributor to the industry in the Quebec region, demonstrating strong leadership through personal and professional contributions.
