EFC Celebrates the 20th Anniversary Federation Cup Tournament with Record Breaking Attendance

On Wednesday, August 24th, an all-time high of 320 golfers participated in EFC’s 20th Anniversary Federation Cup Golf Tournament at Deer Creek Golf Club in Ajax, Ontario, with silent auction funds supporting EFC’s Scholarship program.

Members had the opportunity to network, mingle, and raise their company’s profile in a fun and relaxed setting among leaders and young professionals, sprawling amongst the five-nines course. The sunny weather set the scene for an eventful day with several contest holes, including three hole-in-one for a chance to win an electric bicycle from Vintage Iron. Sponsors provided various activities, including the 19th hole beverage samples, a wellness station, a CEMRA ice cream truck, a smoothie station, a poutine station, live music, a bagpiper, and more. To round out the day’s event, golfers enjoyed a reception dinner and bid on silent auction items donated by members of the electrical community. EFC is also proud to announce over $5,000 was raised from the silent auction, benefiting the EFC Scholarship Program. Industry alumni were welcomed in a foursome sponsored by Eaton, and the Young Professionals Network (YPN) took part by sponsoring a special departure gift.

Thank you to our lead sponsor, Southwire, partner sponsor, Eaton, and all the major event sponsors, contest hole sponsors, and silent auction donors. The generous and continued support from our members is greatly appreciated.

Nathalie Lajoie, Director, National Events, stated, “I’m very pleased with the golf event from all aspects and would like to thank Lori Bagazzoli, Golf Chair, Ledvance, Andrew Fitzpatrick, Vice Chair, Graybar, along with the entire golf committee who worked hard in recruiting sponsorships to make this event a huge success. A special shout out to the EFC Staff who also supported the golf tournament.”

We thank our Golf Committee, sponsors, and EFC staff for their dedicated efforts in bringing this event together.
