EFC Organizational Announcement: Marketing & Channel Development Department

Electro-Federation Canada (EFC) is pleased to announce that it has realigned key areas of its organization to meet the marketing and channel development needs of members and to increase efficiencies and productivity. These changes are reflective of EFC’s succession plans and the following organizational changes take effect November 4th, 2019:

Swati Patel has been appointed Vice President, Marketing & Channel Development and will report directly to Carol McGlogan, President & CEO. Swati will be responsible for the overall planning, development and marketing of channel-related programs, including initiatives that centre on workforce development, talent management, industry research, events and regional engagement. The Marketing, Events and Regional teams will report directly to Swati. She will also work closely with other partner associations to promote collaboration across the electrical channel in Canada. Swati will be responsible for also leading the National Advisory Council (NAC), an operational committee that takes guidance from the Board to help steer EFC programming. Swati has been with EFC for 14 years and has earned the respect of our membership and staff in her commitment to quality with everything she does. Please join me in congratulating Swati on this well-deserved promotion.

Rick McCarten will support this transition until his retirement in September 2020. He will help support a variety of special projects, including supply chain initiatives, conference planning and other key areas. Rick has been with EFC for over 20 years and continues to be an instrumental part of the EFC team; his support is valued during this time of transition.

Daniela De Marco has been promoted to Marketing Specialist and will be responsible for all marketing and communications efforts for EFC’s programs and internal departments. She will continue to support EFC’s digital and social media strategy. Daniela has been with the organization for five months, and during this time, has demonstrated strong leadership, a stellar work ethic and commitment to membership services.

EFC is actively searching for a Marketing Communications Coordinator to join the team. Placement details will follow in the coming weeks.
