EFC Stands Against Antisemitism
Recently, a group of prominent Canadian business, community, political and academic leaders came together through an Open Letter to condemn the rise of antisemitism in Canada and call on Canadians to stand together against hate.
Electro-Federation Canada (EFC) supports this important message.
Canada’s electrical and automation industry is built on people from diverse backgrounds, cultures and faiths working together. As an industry, we believe everyone should be able to participate in their workplace and community free from hatred, intimidation and discrimination.
Antisemitism has no place in Canada, just as hatred directed toward any community has no place in our society. We believe business and industry have an important role to play in reinforcing the values of respect, inclusion and mutual understanding.
EFC stands with the Canadian leaders who have raised their voices through this Open Letter and with members of the Jewish community who have experienced antisemitism.
We encourage our members and industry colleagues to read the Open Letter and reflect on the role each of us can play in creating workplaces, communities and a country where hate is not tolerated and everyone feels safe and respected.
Sincerely,
Carol McGlogan
EFC President and CEO
