About the Panelists

Roger Little, Rexel

Roger Little has been CEO for Rexel Canada since March 2014. Prior to his promotion to CEO, Roger was Vice President for Westburne Electric Supply (2012-2014). He also held the positions of General Manager for Canada (2011-2012) and General Manager for Westburne West (2008-2011).

He joined the company in 1995 and held various positions, including Assistant Manager, Industrial Sales and Marketing Manager for the Ontario Division, Regional Industrial Sales Manager and Regional Automation Manager for the Kitchener region, and Automation Specialists in both Kitchener and Guelph.

Roger worked at Electra Supply, Trade Automation Products Group and Omron before joining the company.

He holds an Honours Diploma in Electronic Engineering Technology from Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario, Canada.

Roger has been married since 1995 and in his spare time enjoys travelling, boating and snowmobiling.

Eric Deschênes, ABB Canada

Eric Deschênes, Country Managing Director and Head of the Electrification business, Canada since January 1, 2020, has been a leader in the Canadian Electrification Market for close to 25 years and is passionately committed to driving Canadian innovation to help Canada write the future of industrial digitalization. Throughout his extensive career, Eric has developed expertise in industrial technology, strategic business development, and a keen understanding of Canadian customer and market challenges.

Eric joined ABB in 2017 as Executive Vice President of the Electrification business. Prior to his appointment to ABB he spent a successful 15 years at Schneider Electric where he drove the development and implementation of innovative technologies and digital solutions to solve complex challenges in several key market segments. He held several executive-level positions in the organization, the most recent of which was, North American Vice President MMM Segment (Mining, Minerals & Metals).

As a recognized thought leader in his field, Eric is very involved in the Canadian industry community and sits on many boards including: Electro-Federation Canada (EFC), AXYZ and Propulsion Québec.

Eric is a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) and a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) since 1992. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnique Mont-réal. Recently, Eric completed an assignment as President of the Association des diplômés de Polytechnique (ADP) which boasts over 32,000 members.

Nelson Squires, WESCO Distribution

Nelson Squires was named Executive Vice President and General Manager, Electrical & Electronic Solutions of WESCO in June of 2020. Prior to this appointment, he held the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from October of 2019 to May of 2020, Group Vice President and General Manager for Canada and International from January of 2018 to September of 2019, and Group Vice President and General Manager of WESCO’s Canadian operations from August of 2015 to January of 2018.

Before joining WESCO, Nelson was Vice President and General Manager of North American Gases and President of Air Products Canada Limited for Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. Mr. Squires joined Air Products in 1989 as a sales engineer and earned numerous assignments of increasing responsibility in region and general management positions, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Investor Relations.

Nelson served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University.

 

Steve Boccadoro, Eaton

Steve Boccadoro is senior vice president & General Manager leading Eaton’s electrical business in Canada, part of a $17.9 billion global diversified power management company.

In his prior role as senior vice president – corporate sales and marketing in Cleveland, Ohio, Steve led enterprise initiatives to capitalize on global market opportunities and drove functional excellence in Eaton’s global sales and marketing organizations.

Steve joined Eaton in 1987 from KPMG. He has held positions of increasing responsibility in both Canada and the U.S., including leadership positions in finance, operations, engineering, sales, and marketing.

He currently serves as a Campaign Cabinet member for United Way of Halton & Hamilton.  While located in Cleveland, Ohio, Steve was a board member of the St. Vincent Charity Medical Center.

Steve is a chartered professional accountant (CPA, CA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Michael DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
