Celebrating 20 Years on the Green: EFC’s Atlantic Golf Tournament

Electro-Federation Canada proudly celebrated its 20th annual Atlantic Golf Tournament on August 6 with a triumphant return to Royal Oaks Golf Club in Moncton, NB.
Despite temperatures feeling like 39°C, 144 golfers came out ready to enjoy a great day on the course — and, more importantly, to support a great cause. This year’s tournament once again raised funds in support of the IWK Foundation, helping provide critical care and support to children and families across the Maritimes.
Some EFC members showed up early to practice their swing before registration officially opened at 10 a.m. As members arrived, they were greeted by the East Coast sounds of traditional Highland bagpipes courtesy of Kevin MacLeod. As the tee announcer signaled the start of the tournament at 11 a.m., teams kicked off their day on course.
There were several sponsored contest holes, including Closest to the Pin, Closest to the 150 (line) and Longest Drive. Joining the IWK’s Lissa Mallais on the Beat the Pro hole this year was Royal Oaks golf professional Jean Mainville, who tested members’ driving skills on Hole #1. Several members rose to the challenge and bested the best drive by the golf pro. Taking home bragging rights are Bruce Kidson, Graybar Canada; Kevin Hutchinson, CMP; Dale Morton, S&D Lighting; and Todd Steeves, Robertson.
EFC Atlantic’s Young Professionals Network was well represented at the annual YPN putting contest, this year led by Aidan Sullivan, Graybar Canada, Seth Phipps, Munden Enterprises, and the IWK’s Rebecca Pierce. There were also a lot of laughs and trivia taking place at Hole #15 where the Atlantic Women’s Network had a booth anchored by Bobbie Kester, ELP Marketing; and Julie Mills, ABB.
In addition, we would like to thank Coldstream Clear Distillery for returning for our 20th annual tournament and serving members samples of refreshing beverages on Hole #5.
Following a long and hot day of golf, members returned to the clubhouse for a networking reception followed by the awards dinner. The IWK’s Lissa Mallais took to the podium to say a few words about the importance of events like these to raise critical funds to support the future of healthcare in the region for women, children, and their families. Atlantic Golf Committee Member, Josh Neave, Munden Enterprises, kicked off the awards ceremony with recognizing the top team of the day finishing with an incredible -14: Mark Monti, EiKO; Rene Gaudet, CSA Enterprises; Dylan Jenkins, McLoughlan Supplies Limited; and Josh Sheridan, CSA Enterprises. Congratulations on taking home the trophy for 2026!
