Carol McGlogan, EFC President and CEO
Carol McGlogan is a distinguished leader in the electrical industry, currently serving as the President and CEO of Electro-Federation Canada (EFC). With a career spanning over two decades, Carol has been a driving force in promoting innovation, sustainability, and growth within the sector. Since taking the helm at EFC in 2017, Carol has been instrumental in advancing the organization’s mission to represent and support the electrical industry in Canada. Her strategic vision and leadership have led to the successful implementation of key initiatives, including the Greener Electrified Canada efforts, which aim to promote sustainable practices and technologies across the industry.
An agency principal since 2007, Mark’s focus is on understanding and building strong relationships in the market, ensuring high-quality standards are met both from the Catalyst team and the products they represent, and leading future growth by keeping a pulse on the latest technology and developments. Mark started his career with Nortel Networks in Toronto before following his entrepreneurial spirit back to Atlantic Canada. He holds designations as a certified electronics engineering technologist (CET) and a Lighting Consultant (LC). He is a member of, and currently sits on the board for, the Atlantic Canadian chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, serving as the Strategic Alliance Partnership champion. He also serves as a sustainable energy advisor on the community council for VIDA living, a real estate development company raising the standard of affordable rentals in North America.Temi Udo-Affia, Manager of Clean Electricity, Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and Renewables
Temi Udo-Affia is the Manager of Clean Electricity at the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables. She designs and implements policies and programs to transition Nova Scotia’s energy system away from coal while maintaining electricity reliability and affordability. Temi has over 10 years of advisory and strategy experience in the power sector. In previous roles, she supported governments globally in designing and incorporating best practices across their policies and regulations, market incentives, and renewable energy programs to accelerate their energy and power sector transformations.Event details

Carol will provide us with an overview of an independent report that was prepared by the Pembina Institute for Electro-Federation Canada. Entitled “Decarbonizing Canada via Electrification” the report dives into electrification, energy efficiency, and grid decarbonization and how this will open opportunities for EFC members to contribute to Canada’s net-zero commitment.
Mark MacDonald, Catalyst Sales & Marketing
Mark will present on business opportunities related to Electric Vehicles and electrification and charging in general.
Temi Udo-Affia, Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and Renewables
Temi will present on Nova Scotia’s Clean Power Plan and how load management fits into the overall plan.
Following the presentations, a panel discussion and Q&A session will follow.
