EFC 21st Annual Federation Cup Tournament Breaks Records

On Wednesday, August 23rd, a record-breaking number of golfers participated in EFC’s 21st Annual Federation Cup Golf Tournament at Deer Creek Golf Course in Ajax, Ontario. The golf day proved very successful with a great experience on the greens, matched with valuable industry networking amongst industry leaders, industry alumni, and young professionals.

The weather set the stage for an eventful day, with multiple contest holes, including three hole-in-one’s for a chance to win a 2-year lease on a 2023 Mustang EV Mach-E from Fraser Automotive Group. Sponsors provided various activities and stations, including the 19th hole, a wellness station, a CEMRA ice cream truck, a smoothie station, a poutine station, and new this year, the Nespresso Fiat and Beaver Tails. During the networking reception and dinner, golfers had the opportunity to bid on silent auction items, donated by members of the electrical community. EFC is proud to announce over $11,000 was raised from the silent auction, benefiting the EFC Scholarship Program. To learn more about the EFC Scholarship Program, click here.

Thank you to our lead sponsor, Southwire, partner sponsor, Eaton, and all the major event sponsors, contest hole sponsors, and silent auction donors. The generosity and continued support from our members is greatly appreciated.

EFC Golf Committee Chair, Andrew Fitzpatrick, Graybar, stated,

“The 21st Federation Cup exceeded expectations yet again! We welcomed a record 330 golfers from the electrical industry to participate in a day of networking on the stunning course. Thankfully the weather held off and our golfers enjoyed comfortable playing conditions. This year’s golf committee was proud to launch the 1st Annual Performance Academy that gave the opportunity for players new to the game to participate in golf lessons and 9 holes while enjoying all of the networking aspects of the day. Thank you to all of the sponsors that made this day possible, and to the organizing committee for putting on an incredible event.”

We thank our Golf Committee, sponsors, and EFC staff for their dedication in bringing this event together. Special thanks to Nathalie Lajoie, Director, National Events and Jade Hosick, Events & Marketing Coordinator for running a smooth and seamless golf tournament.
