COVID-19 Vaccinations and Returning your Employees to Work Safely

with speaker Alexandra Williamson, Lead Advisor, Legal

2021 has been the year that vaccinations for COVID-19 have rolled out across Canada! However, with new COVID-19 variants on the rise, employers must continue to evaluate their own health and safety plans and/or consider whether a return to the workplace is appropriate.

With return-to-work on the horizon, many Canadian employers are considering vaccination policies for their workplace… raising the question “Are mandatory vaccination policies even legal?” We will discuss the pros and cons associated with implementing a mandatory vaccination policy. Employers would be wise to consider the workplace implications that arise as a result of a mandatory vaccination policy, including issues related to human rights, privacy, and occupational health safety.
